- Outcome Summary:
One randomised controlled study examined the effectiveness of a pilot version of the program consisting of 6 chapters (rather than the final 10-chapter publicly available program). Participants were randomised to either an intervention group or a wait-list control. Findings were encouraging, indicating that those in the intervention group displayed significant improvements in their ability to conceptualise, self-manage and react to pain, as well as their self-efficacy and their beliefs that they could control their pain compared to the control group. Therefore, this study provides evidence in support of this program's effectiveness in promoting self-management of chronic pain.
