Check dein Spiel

Description:

Check dein Spiel is a therapist-guided online program designed to help those who want to quit gambling. Initially you complete an anonymous online registration questionnaire. Afterwards, you can then access the main intervention, starting with a 50 minutes online text-based chat with a counsellor. The program duration is 4 weeks and can be optionally extended for up to 50 days. As you progress through the program a key feature is keeping an online diary about your gambling behaviour - encouraging you to consider reasons for gambling and strategies for not gambling. You will also access other exercises designed to help prevent relapse, improve your quality of life, re-establish daily structure, consider the advantages and disadvantages of gambling and issues surround debts. Each week you receive detailed feedback from the counsellor and after a period of 4 weeks (or 50 days) you will meet the counsellor for another online chat to consider the next steps. The site also includes information about gambling, a self-test about one's own gambling, a knowledge test about gambling and information about sources of help.
