Heart Health Online

Description:

Heart Health Online is a portal to information on chronic heart disease and depression. The portal is the combined work of people who have experienced episodes of chronic heart disease and depression and a team of researchers from Monash University and Deakin University. The resources available through the portal include:
• Scientific evidence-based materials such as medical and research articles
• Personal views of consumers, patients and health professionals
• Self help materials
• Information related to psychological aspects of suffering from heart problems
You can search for information through the portal in three different ways:
• "Personalised Search" allows you to tailor information to your specific needs
• "Browse Heart Topics" allows you to select and browse broad topics of information
• "Simple Search" allows you to enter a single search word or a phrase
Heart Health Online does not rate information provided through the portal, but does provide a brief narrative "quality report" for each resource. Each quality report is a short summary alerting you to various aspects of the material that may help guide you in evaluating the resource.
