Outcome Summary:

The website program was evaluated with 67 participants, randomised to either the web intervention or a no treatment control group.  The intervention produced a significant increase in physical activity (steps per day) from pre to post-test (Hege's g=0.95), but this was not significantly different from that observed in the control group.  Waist circumference, Coronary Risk Ratio, and triglyceride levels reduced in participants who received the intervention, but not participants in the control group.  At 8-month follow-up, triglyceride levels improved, waist circumference was maintained and physical activity levels reduced to pre-intervention levels.
