Outcome Summary:

The Nokia Wellness Dairy has been studied in two trials with adults aged 30 to 60. Both younger and older adults found the application to be simple and easy to use. Subjects felt that the Wellness Diary helped them manage their weight, be more physically active and monitor their eating habits. Among the older participants, about half lost on average 3.2% of their weight over 3 months. These preliminary results indicate that the application might be effective in improving physical wellbeing. However, the Wellness Diary has not been compared to a no-intervention control in any published trial, so further research is required.
